How to Make Kerala Style Pineapple Pachadi


Pachadi is a traditional Kerala dish usually served as a side dish for meals. It is generally made using a vegetable or a fruit. It is a simple dish and can be done in a short span of time. It is healthy and easy to cook. Its a mixture of sweetness and sourness in taste. However, usually fruits are used to make it; for instance,pineapple pachadi is a good choice. Children will definitely like it and its one of the easiest way to make them eat pineapple. Ingredients 

  • 1 cup chopped pineapple 
  • 1 cup Coconut paste 
  • 3 Green chilli chopped
  • 1-2 Red chilli
  • Small piece ginger finely chopped
  • Mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves 
  • 2 cup curd
  • Salt as per taste


METHOD

  1. Take a saucepan. Add pineapple, green chilies, ginger and water.
  2. Cook it with lid covered.
  3. Add the coconut paste and cook well.
  4. Turn off the flame. Add curd and mix properly.
  5. Add salt as per taste.
  6. Heat oil in another pan.
  7. Add mustard seed. Let it splutter and add curry leaves and red chilli.
  8. Add the tadka to the mixture of pineapple,coconut,ginger and chilli.


Serving suggestions: - Serve it as a side dish with Rice.
