How To Make Sooji | Rava | Semolina Upma at Home in 6 Easy Steps

Ingredients

  • 1cup rava, sooji (semolina)
  • 1 tablespoon ghee, oil or butter
  • ½ teaspoon sarso (mustard seeds)
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • ½ carrot
  • 100g beans
  • 50g pea
  • 4-5 green chilli silted
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 1.5 cup water
  • Salt as per taste


METHOD

  1. Fry rava till t become golden in a pan and keep it aside.
  2. Heat the ghee. Add onion, carrot beans, peas, green chilli and curry leaves.
  3. Stir it for a minute .
  4. Add water and salt. Make it boil. Then add fried rava with constant stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. Keep stirring till water gets evaporated.
  6. Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.



Serving suggestion: Serve it with coconut chutney.

How to make Curd rice recipe at home in less than 5 minutes



Curd rice is a famous recipe from south India.Which is famous for its flavor. Its a pretty simple dish but full of soothing taste.Its a great summer food full of nutrition and easy to digest .Curd and rice are the main ingredients of this recipe.So what are you waiting for try this recipe at home and treat your loved one with this healthy and tasty dish.




 Ingredients
  •  ½  teaspoon Jeera(cumin )
  • 2 Whole dried red chilli
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • Green chilli slitted one
  • pinch of Hing(Asafoetida)
  • 10 Curry leaves
  • ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 cup cooked rice 
  • mixture of 1 cup Curd and 1½ cup butter milk
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 tablespoon oil


Method

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add mustard seeds, jeera let it splutter
  3. Add a pinch of hing ,dried red chilli, green chilli, ginger and curry leaves saute for 1 min.
  4. Lower the flame and add the mixture of curd and butter milk with constant stirring to avoid coagulation of curd then add rice. 
  5.  Add salt as per taste.
  6. Garnish it with some green grapes ,fresh coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds .
Serving suggestionServe it with any pickle or sun dried curd chillies.
