How to Make Rajasthani Gatte ki Sabzi At home | Gatte ki Sabzi Recipe | Rajasthani Gatte Recipe


Gatte ki sabzi is an Indian dish. More specifically it’s a famous dish from Rajasthan. Rajasthan cuisine is influenced by both war like lifestyle of inhabitants or availability of ingredients in the region. Gatte in English is balls of gram flour. This famous dish basically consist a rich gravy and gatte(gram flour balls). It’s flavorful and rich in taste. It’s a must try dish from Rajasthani cuisine. This curry dish goes with roti or rice as well. Try this exotic culture dish and share your experience.




Ingredients


For gatte
  • 2 cup besan
  • ½ teaspoon ajwain
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon oil


For gravy

  • 1 cup tomato paste
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2-3 green chilli
  • ¼ teaspoon ajwain
  • ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ¼ teaspoon coriander powder
  • Pinch of asafoetida (hing)
  • 1 serving spoon oil, ghee or butter
  • 1 cup curd
  • ½ cup cream
  • ¼ teaspoon garam masala




Method


For gatte

  1. Take besan in a bowl.
  2. Add ajwain,oil and salt.mix it.
  3. Add 1 cup water.
  4. Knead the mixture.
  5. Make balls from the dough.
  6. Pressure the balls with 2-3 cup water for 2-3 whistle.


For gravy

  1. Heat the oil.
  2. Add ajwain , hing ,green chilli, ginger, tomato and sautee. Till it releases oil.
  3. Add cream with constant stirring.
  4. Add curd with constant stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. Reduce the mixture till the water gets evaporate.
  6. Add gatte and the water in the pressure cooker and give it a mix.
  7. Boil it for 1 min.
  8. Add garam masala.
  9. *Add water if the gravy is thick according to you
  10. Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.




                                                                                      
Serving suggestions:- Serve it with roti and rice
